Hooker Electric GoPro Housing is a Deep Sea Camera Housing for the GoPro® with light.
When you are deep-water fishing, do you ever wonder what’s down there poking at your bait? At Hooker Electric, we set out to build the ultimate deep-water camera housing for your GoPro®. Most likely you have one laying around, so let’s get some fish action!
Our goal was simple; we wanted to capture “the bite”. We began by engineering a camera housing that provides its own light source, so that it could capture video in the dark depths of the sea and withstand the great pressures of the deep (tested to 3,000 ft). We specifically designed it for deep-dropping Swordfish and other deep water species. The Hooker Electric GoPro® Camera Housing is intended for two distinct types of fishing, chicken rigs and daytime Swordfish rigs.
Not for fishing alone, this housing has been used for underwater documentaries as B-roll source. Photographers of shows such as National Geographic use such units to explore marine life combined with diver bells. The camera housing kit is constructed from durable Delrin® and visually clear Plexiglas®. DuPont™ Delrin® acetal homopolymer resin is a highly-crystalline engineering thermoplastic that industry leaders specify for high load mechanical applications, when strength is needed in parts designed to replace metal. Tensile Strength at break, rated at 8,500 psi. NOTE: The Hooker Electric GoPro® Camera Housing DOES NOT include a GoPro® camera.
